B-day party games for 10 year olds
The Chocolate Game Guests sit in a circle on the floor and take turns to roll two dice, passing them around the circle in a clockwise direction. If a child rolls a double number they put on a set of two or three dress ups e. They keep cutting and eating until the next player rolls a double. The key is to keep the dice moving as fast as possible so that the person eating the chocolate changes regularly. Cookie Face Each player puts a small cookie e.
Just be sure to take it outdoors! Pair players up and have them toss an egg back and forth to each other. Each time the children both catch it, they must take a step backward and continue. The team that can catch their egg with the furthest distance between them, wins! The game is played until all players have been frozen and then a new It is chosen for the next round. To make the game even more fun, when unfreezing a tagged player you must call out the name of a television show.
My kids and their friends would have a great time playing these games. Thanks for sharing and explaining them so well. About Me Teaching Resources and Printables!
Content Teaching Ideas Get Active. Birthday party games are essential when planning a party! When the kids see the toilet paper, they will be SO excited! Both teams will get 1 roll of toilet paper. When the wrapping is done, that player passes the toilet paper to the next player in line, who wraps the other leg.
Next, the third person wraps an arm, and the fourth person wraps the other arm. They will get the chance to run, kick, dribble and practice their shooting skills. Equipment soccer balls goals Description Divide the group into 2 teams. In this relay, the first person dribbles the soccer ball through a set of cones and traps it on a ploy spot. The first team to complete the relay is a winner! Plus, you can get some pizza out of the deal, which is always a plus, right?
Equipment Pizza boxes check your local pizza shops, they may donate! The second player in the line will carry the pizza box down, pick up another box, run or walk fast, and hand the pizza boxes to the next person.
This will continue until everyone has had a chance! Want to check out how this is done? Watch here! Activity 4: Baton Race This is an easy but super fun relay that is perfect for all ages!
Equipment batons cones Instructions Divide the group into 2 equal teams for this speed relay. On the GO signal, the first player runs with the baton all the way down to the cone and back. When returning, the runner passes the baton to the next person, who then begins to run! When the runner is done taking their turn, they need to sit down. The first team to have everyone sitting down is the winner! Equipment stopwatches cones Instructions Measure out yards on your playing field and mark it off with cones.
The kids will all line up on the line and run as fast as possible from one line to the other line. The person that gets their first wins!
Equipment Cones Instructions The players will partner up. One person will have their hands on the ground, and the other person will be standing up, holding their legs.
On the GO signal, the person on the ground will be moving their hands, and the person who has their feet will be moving their feet to try to get to the finish line before the other groups!
Activity 7: 3 Legged Race This is a birthday party game for kids that gets them to work together! Equipment 3 legged race bands Check Price Instructions One group should have 1 band.
One person should have it on their left leg, and the other person should have it on their right leg. The groups are trying to make it to the finish line before the other groups!
So if they fall, they should get back up and keep going! Activity 8: Drop and Pop Relay The drop and pop relay is my all-time favorite relay!
Equipment balloons chairs Instructions Each person will get a balloon. Then, inflate the balloons so each is roughly the same size. On the GO signal, the first member of the team carries a balloon to the chair, drops the balloon on the chair, and then sits on the balloon until it pops. When the balloon pops, the student runs back to their team and tags the next person in line. The relay continues until the last student in each team has made it back to the line—the first team to finish wins.
Activity 9: Non-Stop Hoop Pass This activity is great for a relay, and it also works on team-building skills! The non-stop hoop pass is perfect for a school field day or a lesson on cooperative learning.
Equipment hula hoops Instructions This activity is performed by four teams as a relay race. A pile of hula hoops is placed at the feet of the first players in each line. On the GO signal, the first person in line will slip a hula hoop on their arms, get it over their heads, step in it with one leg, step out of it with the other leg and jiggle the hoop to the arm of the adjoining player.
The task is to pass all 5 hula hoops through the line as quickly as possible. The relay is completed when all 5 hula hoops make it to the other end of the line. The first person may send another hoop are soon as the previous hoop touches the ground on the other side. Activity Potato Sack Relay There is nothing more classic than the potato sack relay race!
Equipment potato sacks cones Instructions Split the kids into even teams and give the first person in line a potato sack. On the GO signal, the first person will hop with their potato sack to the cones on the opposite side and back. The relay is done once everyone has had a turn! This birthday party game for kids is perfect to work on those eye-hand coordination skills!
I always used to do this activity as a part of my volleyball unit with my students at school. The players are responsible for keeping track of the number of consecutive hits. Start over from zero when the ball hits the ground. The highest score will be the winner of the contest. Then, do the same activity again. Need to spice this up a bit? I bet the parachute is the thing you remember!! Equipment parachute soft dodge balls Instructions There are endless amounts of activities that you can do with a parachute!
Activity Fill The Bucket! You can also place poly spots on the floor too, so players know exactly where to stand! On the GO signal, the kids will work together to pick up the balls on the floor and throw them in the basket using underhand or overhand throwing technique.
This can be timed using a stopwatch, and once it is done once, they can do it again to try to beat their time. Activity Foam Ball Passover Every year during our team-building unit in physical education, I would do this with my elementary students! The first person in line will start with the ball in their feet. On the GO signal, they will rotate their body back and attempt to hand the ball off to the next person in line without using their hands.
The students will try to move the ball throughout the line as quickly as they can. Finding the Gummy Bears: Think of the game bobbing for apples. However, instead of a bucket of water, you use a plate of whip cream and instead of apples, use gummy bears. And similarly to bobbing for apples, players must have their hands behind their backs.
Pass the Fruit: This is a fun game that utilizes teamwork again. You grab a piece of fruit, whether an apple, orange, lime, or something else. The purpose of the game is to get that fruit from one player all the way to the other end of the line. What makes this so fun and difficult! If they do, then they go to where their guess is hiding, without letting anyone else see who they walk to, and ask if they're the mole.
If they are not, the player asking is out, if they are, the game is over and the player asking wins. Blindfold one kid and spin them around for 20 seconds to disorientate them! Then they have to walk around the room, arms outstretched, and try to catch another kid.
If you get caught you are now blindfolded! Try to avoid running because that could lead to injury and make sure to child-proof the area!
This is kind of a more fun way of playing musical chairs or statues, but they are also fun games. Basically, while the music is playing, everyone dances, but once it stops, everyone has to quickly sit down on the ground on their bums. The last person to sit is out, and so on until there is only one kid left.
They are the winner! This game requires a few rolls of toilet paper. Divide the group of kids into teams giving each team the same amount of toilet paper. Each team then has to pick someone to be their 'mummy'. Then, with 40 seconds on the clock, the kids have to unravel as much toilet paper as they can onto their mummy, trying to make them look like a mummy. At the end of the 40 seconds, the mummies have to walk the catwalk and the kids, or adults get to vote on who they think is the best Mummy.
Once again this is a classic game that everyone knows, which can be easily spiced up. Print out a picture, for example, Harry Styles from One Direction and mount the image on some cardboard. Have the kids line up and then one at a time blindfold them, spin them for 10 seconds and have them place a facial feature on the printed out picture.
The most accurate kids win. Harry Styles just popped into my mind. I have included a lot of games here, so be sure to write in the comments what your favorite one is from this list and one that you play that is not on this list! Have fun! Some of these are a bit childish but most of them sound super fun! Even for older kids! Thank you! Plus, some of these games are old-school.
I came looking for new games and found nothing but dissappointment!!! Yea good variety of games could be more games and maybe some games a little more fun. In my opinion I believe that pin the tail on the donkey is a little childish don't you agree. If I was to rate this website on a scale of 10 I would rate it a This website is u say but I found none of these games interesting and the are aimed and younger kids.

Great i found ways to change some of these games to fit my party theme the costume relay race was my favorite. Meh I got some ideas from it but really everything you already know is on here. I only used 2 of the games and 1 of them I already knew the other one is the egg and spoon game which later on I found on a less complicated website.
