Jitta on the track be right back download

Jitta got an early start, gaining exposure with his Big Mike-hosted Be Right Back mixtape while he was only 18 years old. On the Drake tour, I couldn't even get into half of the after-parties because I was too young.

Looking back and comparing it to his new music, he says, "Obviously I'm going to say I don't like my old shit at all, but it was ill. When you're 17 or 18, that stuff is your motive. Most artists get to work out the kinks and find their true sound within the comfort of their own basement, but Jitta grew up in front of his fanbase. He doesn't seem to have any regrets about his past music, and he shouldn't, as "Drink Face" from that first tape has k YouTube views. After Be Right Back , Jitta had built up enough of a following to garner the attention of Drake, who hand-picked him to be an opener on the Club Paradise Tour.

Touring the nation with Drizzy, J. Cole , Meek Mill , 2 Chainz , French Montana and Waka Flocka gave Jitta a taste of what was possible down the road, but he knew he had a lot of work to do.

He came off the tour with a renewed perspective and felt driven to increase the quality of his product. From there, Jitta went through an EDM-infused phase, where he was one of the artists at the forefront of the trap movement. I started sending out acapellas and that was the music those DJs were making, because it was hot While "Mollylujah" represents a time period in his career that fans loved and responded to, as an artist he felt it was time to mature.

He told us, "it was time to make some grown-up music. Jitta went through a rough patch in his life about a year or so ago, and that summer really inspired him to write what would become the Bipolar project. That's when Jay R his close friend and collaborator passed away. Another close homie died like two days after Jay R, so it was just really tough.

I was homeless at the time, sleeping on my manager's couch in New York City. I didn't really have access to a studio at the time, so I was just writing. It was a really life-altering time for me.

Once that Summer was over was when we started really working on turning the writing into Bipolar. From what we've heard of the upcoming release, it's much darker than what Jitta has done in the past. Sure, there's some of the same content as before, but as a whole it's what he was trying to achieve, that "grown-up" music.

Most artists don't even put something of this magnitude out by the time they're 22, and with Jitta we've already seen three totally different phases in his career. The evolution of him as an artist has been really interesting to watch over time. Even if you're brand new to Jitta's music, you're coming in at a great time. Right now, he's got a lot of experience and knows exactly what he wants to say, and how he wants to say it. Bipolar drops towards the end of October, and you can expect top notch production from frequent collaborators Billy Jones and Juice Of All Trades, as well as Jitta himself, as he co-produced every track.

Jitta wanted us to know he isn't just a rapper. He's been producing for a long time and is finally confident he can do it at the next level. When it comes to his new music, he tells us, "I'm producing a lot of it. My production is crazy now, I've been really working at it for the last year and a half.

I want to get my Kanye on, like I want to create a whole new sound. A lot of people don't realize I produced a bunch of my older songs like 'Drink Face'. Producers send me beats now, and I'm like I could do something better than that so easily, plus put my own style on it.

He told us he produced one track on Bipolar fully and was heavily involved in the production of all the other tracks, but expect his future projects to be very much self-produced, so he can get as close to his intended sound as possible. We already showed you "Drink Face", but here's another early track Jitta produced, called "Lumberjack":. Jitta's made a lot of friends along the way, whether through collaboration or touring.

From the personal relationship with Waka Flocka he developed on Drake 's Club Paradise tour, to Diplo , whom he shares a hometown with.

I didn't meet him in person until maybe six months ago, but we had always kept in touch on social media. His people always take care of me, and he's played some of my music on his show. In Florida, a 'jitt' is slang for a little kid, and I've been tall as fuck, like 6'2" since like 6th grade. So that was just a funny name he gave me because I was a monster compared to these other little ass middle schoolers. He's 3 or 4 years older than me, so I always looked up to him," he told us.
